Dame Susan Rice

Dame Susan was instrumental in helping to found Social Investment Scotland. Until she retired, Dame Susan was Managing Director (Scotland) of Lloyds Banking Group, one of SIS’s largest investors. Previously Lady Susan Rice CBE, she was awarded a Damehood in the 2018 New Year Honours list for services to business, the arts and charity in Scotland. She now serves on several boards, including as Chair of Scottish Water.
Kenneth Ferguson

Kenneth served as a trustee of Social Investment Scotland for many years.
Ray Perman
Patron
Ray was the founding Chair of Social Investment Scotland and was CEO of Scottish Financial Enterprise between 1999 and 2003. Ray is now an author and journalist, commenting specifically on the financial sector.
Sarah Smart
Patron
Sarah served for a number of years as a board member of Social Investment Scotland and was the founding Chair of the Social Growth Fund (SGF), which is managed by SIS and backed by Big Society Capital (BSC). Sarah now serves on the Board of BSC alongside several other non-executive appointments.
Alf Young
Patron
Alf previously served as Chair of Social Investment Scotland. Spending most of his career in the media, particularly with The Herald, he is now a respected commentator on a wide range of issues related to financial services and the economy.
