The BUZZ Programme is now finished. The recordings of the sessions can be viewed below.

About BUZZ

Join the full programme or you are welcome to join individual sessions.

After staffing costs, premises and utilities are often the next biggest spend item for many charities and social enterprises. Whether you own or rent a building we want to work with you to help guide you through what you need to consider to have a positive impact on your cash flow and the planet.

We will look at systems and technology, finance, and planning, listed buildings, new builds and retrofit as we bring in experts to guide you on the steps you can take to save money and reduce your carbon footprint.

We will hear from organisations that have made changes to lighting, insulation, heat, and energy sources as part of their energy journey as well as make a visit to Edinburgh visitor attraction Dynamic Earth, to hear about the changes they have made.

As part of the programme, you can apply for direct, fully funded support from our SIS Business Associates - experts that can guide you through any changes or plans you want to make. We will ask you to indicate this in your application.

Who will benefit

  • Organisations that own or manage buildings and community facilities;
  • Organisations that are energy intensive - for example - theatre and lighting, tech initiatives, sports facilities;
  • Organisations currently planning new builds or looking at community asset transfer.
