Talking Heads – Inspirational Speaker Series

Over our Purchase Power Talking Heads series, our speakers share invaluable insights into their strategic journeys, operational challenges, decision-making processes, and the opportunities they have seized.

In this session, we are thrilled to welcome Celia Hodson, founder of Hey Girls, to the discussion. Celia's mission to end period poverty through a 'buy-one-give-one' model has propelled Hey Girls to national recognition. Discover how she and her team achieved this remarkable success.

Don't miss this opportunity to learn from the experiences of visionary leaders and gain practical advice for your own leadership journey.

This session is most relevant for social enterprises and other third sector organisations based in Scotland.

Our Speaker

Celia

Celia Hodson

Celia Hodson OBE, a multi-award-winning entrepreneur and social innovator. Celia founded Hey Girls CIC in 2018 to tackle period poverty in the UK. With a simple "buy one, donate one" model, Hey Girls has donated over 40 million period products to people in need, blending social impact with sustainable business practices.

Celia's mission is deeply personal. As a single parent raising three children on benefits, she experienced period poverty first-hand. Back then, there wasn’t even language to describe it, let alone support systems in place. She has made it my goal to ensure that no one has to compromise their health, dignity, or well-being because they can’t afford period products. For her, access to these essentials is a right, not a privilege.
