Social Investment Scotland (SIS) is running a number of sessions for charities and social enterprises based in or delivering impact to communities in Aberdeen, Aberdeenshire and Moray to explore what a Just Transition for Scotland means for them and the people and communities they support.
SIS, in partnership with the Scottish Government, is managing the Social Enterprise Just Transition Fund (part loan, part grant) for social enterprises or charities based in / or delivering impact in the North East of Scotland.
This session will explore the main themes of a Just Transition, which promotes the Scottish Government's vision of a fairer, greener Scotland. During the session explore the following:
- The ambitions of those organisations who are already on this journey.
- What was the process and how did they approach it?
- How has the Fund helped them achieve their organisation's future sustainability whilst benefiting their community and beyond?
- Top tips on applying for the Fund - what key information is needed when applying for funding?
For example projects which support employability, those affected by the cost of living crisis, or deliver financial inclusion, as well as taking steps towards carbon reduction and efficiencies.
