Social Investment Scotland and Alastair Davis nominated at the NatWest SE100 Social Business Awards 2024

Social Investment Scotland (SIS) and its CEO, Alastair Davis, have been recognised for their outstanding contributions to the social enterprise sector; with both being named finalists in this year’s NatWest SE100 Social Business Awards.

SIS has been nominated in the Social Investment Pioneer category, for its work in leading the delivery of a new £62 million investment fund. The Community Investment Enterprise Fund (CIE) was launched in partnership with Lloyds BankBetter Society CapitalBCRS Business LoansBusiness Enterprise Fund, and Finance for Enterprise to help small businesses in England and Wales access finance to support local jobs and economic activity.

Alastair has been nominated for the Social Enterprise Leader award. This category honours those who have shown excellent leadership, effectiveness, and inspiration in guiding their teams toward mission-driven success. The nomination comes in Alastair’s 15th year with SIS and his recently awarded an OBE for services to social enterprise and charity in Scotland.

SE100 2024 Social Post FINALIST

The NatWest SE100 Social Business Awards recognise and celebrate the UK’s top social enterprises. Launched in 2010 by the Pioneer’s Post in partnership with Natwest, the awards identify the leading 100 social enterprises across the UK each year whilst also gathering insights and market intelligence about the UK social enterprise movement.

The winners of both awards will be announced at a ceremony in London on the evening of 16th July and Pioneers Post will publish their annual 'NatWest SE100 Index' naming the UK's top 100 social enterprises the week prior.
