Charities and social enterprises across Inverness and the Highlands are being invited to a dedicated funding event aimed at helping them secure resources and expertise to grow their community impact.

Taking place on Thursday, 25th September at Eden Court, Inverness, the session will bring together local third sector organisations with key funders and support bodies.
Hosted by responsible finance provider Social Investment Scotland (SIS), the event is part of its Funding Socials series, designed to spark ideas, share knowledge and build connections that can support long-term sustainability.
Positioned as an informal and welcoming session, it is designed to encourage open discussion and learning. A team from SIS will be joined by representatives from Highlands and Islands Enterprise, Communities Housing Trust, Highland Third Sector Interface, and other key funders, each offering valuable insights on funding opportunities and community development.

Kieran Daly, Head of Market Building at SIS, will be attending the session to explain the support avenues available to charities and social enterprises. Kieran said: “Funding can often feel like a barrier for charities and social enterprises’ growth, especially when options seem complex or hard to access.
“That’s why events like this are so valuable – they bring the right people into the room to share advice, answer questions, and open clear pathways to support. Inverness and the Highlands have an incredibly active third sector, and this event is about giving local organisations the tools, connections and confidence they need to grow their impact.”

Margaret McSporran, Head of Community Wealth Building at Highlands & Islands Enterprise, said: “The Funding Socials event in Inverness is a fantastic opportunity for charities and social enterprises to access practical advice and connect with funders who can help them grow.
“At HIE, we’re committed to supporting organisations that drive positive change in communities across the Highlands and Islands, both with funding and through non-financial assistance. We look forward to meeting local groups to explore opportunities to work together to achieve long-term impact.”
